Western Convalescent Hospital offers complex care in a warm and family-like atmosphere. Our mission is to provide individualized compassionate and loving care to each and every resident through rehabilitation, complex care, restorative nursing and other support services.

Our 127 bed facility includes our beautiful, 70 bed, newly refurbished Subacute Unit. This includes our medical subacute unit, one of our specialty programs accredited by the Department of Health Services. Registered nurses and respiratory therapists are available 14 hours a day, 7 days a week and patients receive consistent visits from a physician at least twice a week.

We offer the highest level of complex care available outside an acute hospital with specializations in ventilator dependent care; complex tracheostomy care, respiratory therapy (with a weaning program if appropriate); complex medical and pulmonary care; and IV and TPN therapy. Additionally, this unit is equipped to address complex isolations for common sub acute  infections including CRE and Candida Auris.

Western Convalescent is equipped with 57 skilled nursing beds. Social services assist in resident placement to increase success rates within the community. This includes assistance in assisted-living waiver programs, in finding community-based home help programs, and with arranging Home Health Services.

Our in-house rehabilitation program is specifically designed to be tailored to each resident to maximize their opportunities in recovery. Under the direction of a Rehabilitation Director and Resident's Physician, we offer physical, occupational, respiratory and speech therapies as well as special rehabilitation programs for strokes, hip fractures and wounds.

We are passionate for providing high quality care for our community members and feel honored to have had the privilege to care for the Guiness World Record holder Gertrude Baines in her final days of her 115 years.

At Western Convalescent, we strive to keep the family and loved ones informed, updated and supported, which is why we provide family education and counseling. Rest assured, your loved one is in capable and loving hands at our facility. We would love to meet with you so reach out and schedule a visit today!
